The Uruguayan Football Association announced that the team will hold a final preparatory camp in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi for a week, during which the technical staff will attend to their preparations for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals beginning November 20.

In a statement on Saturday, the Uruguayan football federation said that the coach of the national team Diego Alonso has chosen his final list of players and they are headed to the Emirates for the final conditioning before traveling to Qatar on November 19th.

The Uruguay team will open their World Cup campaign by meeting South Korea in Group H on November 24. Portugal and Ghana are the other teams in the group.

The Uruguayan federation confirmed its full confidence in the vision of coach Alonso and the group of players led by Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani, Federico Valverde and Nunez, for a good participation of the national team in the FIFA World Cup for the 14th time in their history.
