Several boxes of expired food items were seized by authorities at a warehouse in Umm Salal on Thursday.
Located in one of the farms within the municipality, the warehouse was immediately closed and the necessary legal measures have been taken against its management.
The raid was carried out by the Farm Violations Work Team at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in cooperation with the Municipality of Umm Salal.
This raid is the latest of a series of inspections the Farm Violations Work Team has been carrying as part of a campaign to control violations of municipal laws.
The food items seized from the warehouse were displayed and stored in unhealthy conditions, in contravention of the provisions of Law No. 8 of 1990.
