Over 1,600 kilos of chewing tobacco seized at Hamad Port

Hundreds of bags containing prohibited chewing tobacco have been seized from a shipment of food items at the Hamad Port, the General Authority of Customs has said.

The seizure was made by the Maritime Customs Department at the Hamad Port, the authority added in a tweet.

The tobacco weighed more than 1672 kilograms and was stashed in 1,338 bags.
