Tribune News NetworkDoha With the phased-in reopening of cultural institutions and services continuing, Qatar Museums is pleased to announce up dated timings for the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, the Fire Station and museum libraries, from 1 September.Health and safety protocols, in accordance with guidelines from Qatar’s Health Protection and Communicable Disease Control Office in the Ministry of Public Health, will require visitors to pre-book tickets on the Qatar Museums’ website, present a “green” health status on the Ehteraz virus-tracing mobile application and wear a face mask throughout the duration of their visit. Ahmad Al Namla, CEO of Qatar Museums, said: “As the country enters into Phase 4 of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, Qatar Museums has reassessed its opening timings and is pleased to announce extended hours. With the further easing of restrictions, visitors to our cultural institutions can enjoy more time browsing our temporary and permanent collections and dining at one of our cafes or restaurants.
