The Deputy Amir His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani led the well-wishers to welcome world leaders to Doha on Sunday to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at Al Bayt Stadium.
HH the Deputy Amir welcomed HM King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan and his accompanying delegation. HM King of Jordan is accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II and a number of ministers.
HH the Deputy Amir also led well-wishers to welcome representative of the Amir of Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. They were also welcomed by Minister of Sports and Youth HE Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali and Ambassador of Kuwait to Qatar HE Khaled Badr Al Mutairi.
HH the Deputy Amir led well-wishers to welcome Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his accompanying delegation.
