The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has reintroduced a number of animal species into the Sealine Reserve in order to enrich wildlife and biodiversity. This also comes as part of the efforts to prepare the reserve for welcoming World Cup visitors.

The step was taken in the presence of Minister of Environment and Climate Change HE Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani. The move aims to display some of the wildlife available in Sealine and Khor Al Adaid, as part of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change’s strategy.

The ministry has rehabilitated the reserve by dividing it into two areas and making a fence between the vegetation area and the animal wildlife area, in order to protect the vegetation from external influences. The ministry also built a platform 4 metres high next to the wall of the reserve from the western side to enable visitors to see the animals and take pictures.
