The activities accompanying the FIFA World Cup 2022 at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) take visitors on a daily tour of joy, excitement and surprises. They can explore the art and culture as well as the authenticity of Qatari heritage at various exhibitions and activities that highlight the sport of football.

The exhibitions being hosted by Katara include ‘Football, Fine Art and Collectibles’ exhibition, ‘World Cup Postage Stamps’ exhibition, and ‘Sports Caricature Exhibition’. This is in addition to artistic, musical and theatrical shows and heritage performances presented at the Katara Traditional Dhow Festival, which embodies Arab maritime heritage.

Besides, the Street Art Festival presents a set of visual activities rich in creativity and aesthetic values that directly reach the hearts of the audience.

It’s a unique opportunity for artistes to perform freely-individually or collectively-in front of thousands of visitors and tourists. These include open shows that are not limited to a specific art, such as free drawing, puppet shows, acrobatics, dancing, singing and playing music.

Katara’s exciting performances and exceptional atmosphere, which are presented by the musical fountain shows with their reflective lights, vibrant colours and melody techniques, have also been key attractions. These happy and special moments are captured by the visitors through video clips and memorable photographs.

The ‘Photograph Corner’ allows World Cup fans to participate in an interactive photo session that gives them unforgettable moments to cherish their visit to Qatar.

The audiences at Katara were also treated to the wonderful international show, ‘Amazing Bubbles’, held at Al-Hikma Square on two days in the evening. The show presented various events performed by a group of artistes in distinctive clothes that attracted the attention of children and inspired their world of imagination. The show was also distinguished by a striking alternation between the exciting theatrical performance and the enthusiastic music with a frequent rhythm, serving as a tale.
