Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) received 269 vessels in November 2022, registering an increase in transshipment volumes by one percent year-on-year. In a statement via its Twitter account, Mwani Qatar said that it received nearly 116,000 TEUs. While building materials increased 50 percent to reach 61,203 tonnes, the roll-on/roll-off (RORO) ships surged by 30 percent to reach 6,939 units. Livestock recorded 17,381 heads, while general cargo reached 142,680 tonnes. Mwani Qatar is responsible for managing the nation’s seaports and shipping terminals.
