Santhosh ChandranDohaIndian expatriate Priya Samir Bhedi has been nominated one among five top winners in ‘Mrs India Universe beauty Pageant’, a beauty contest organised by Mrs India Universe, the largest pageant platform based in India. Bhedi, the Vice President of Indian Women’s Association in Qatar, is also honoured with Mrs Beautiful Hair in Mrs India Universe Quarantine Queen Season 4. According to its website, Mrs India Universe is the largest pageant platform to showcase a great coming together of intelligence, beauty, glamour, talent and culture of Indian married woman.Including Indian women from Canada, India and GCC, considerable number of women participated in the contest.A panel of jury including Karishma Chhabria, the leading pageant coach and Shreya Krishnan, activist, dancer, blogger, model and pageant winner, nominated Bhedi for the recognition.Speaking to Qatar Tribune, Bhedi said Mrs. India Universe strengthens and further empowers women to develop the skills they need to achieve their personal best.As a contestant Bhedi was mentored and groomed in various aspects of personality development, fashion and rampwalk. Bhedi recently started her own IT consultancy company and business and personality development and education training in Qatar under the name Prish Engibiz Solutions LLC. Bhedi also has a track record in charity, social work and women empowerment activities. Under her leadership, a campaign to support rural weavers in India’s northeast state of Assam, which was severely hit by floods recently, has earned a lot of public attention. Bhedi is also the founding member of Sari Speak, a forum established in India to promote sari culture across the world and it has more than 100,000 members across the world.
