His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani participated with his brothers leaders of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) and heads of delegations in the 43rd session of the Supreme Council summit, held today at King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The session was attended by a number of members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir, and a number of Their Royal Highnesses Princes, and Their Excellencies members of the official delegations. It was also attended by GCC Secretary-General HE Dr Nayef bin Falah Al Hajraf.
In a final communique issued by the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in its 43rd session, the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf praised Qatar’s success in hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the positive impact it has on the human legacy and its civilizational, cultural, and intellectual rapprochement among world peoples.
It also denounced the malicious media campaigns against Qatar.
The council also welcomed and extended support for the State of Qatar to hold the second part of the Fifth UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) on March 5 - 9, 2023, at the level of heads of state and governments.
The Supreme Council welcomed the State of Qatar’s presidency of its 44th session.
HH the Amir also participated in the Riyadh Gulf-China Summit for Cooperation and Development, held at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, on Friday.
Several of leaders of fraternal Gulf States participated in the summit, in addition to HE President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping. The summit was attended by HH the Amir’s accompanying delegation, delegate members, senior officials, and guests of the summit. page 10
