Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), will be welcoming World Cup 2022 fans from around the world to Darb Al Saai until December 18.
This important annual festival in Qatar’s social calendar offers visitors an insight into Qatar’s rich culture and heritage.
Over the years, Al Shaqab has participated in Darb Al Saai, sharing its knowledge and enthusiasm about equestrianism and horsemanship through a host of events and activities.
This year, Al Shaqab has launched its activities at the new permanent location of Darb Al Saai at Umm Salal, with the event culminating in a celebration of Qatar National Day, which comes in conjunction with the conclusion of the World Cup 2022.
Football fans have been flocking to Darb Al Saai as it allows them, between matches, to experience the culture of Qatar. The National Day slogan, "Our Unity is the Source of Our Strength”, is particularly poignant this year as nations come together, unite and bond through their shared love of football.
Al Shaqab at Darb Al Saai is hosting a range of events and activities for all ages, including Arabian horse shows, horse and pony rides and traditional shows, which represent the customs and traditions of the Qatari people.
Through Darb Al Saai, Al Shaqab aims to share its passion for horsemanship and equestrianism with the audience, providing a fantastic family-friendly opportunity for visitors to learn about the integral importance of horses in Qatar over the years and to discover the legacy left by the country’s founding fathers and ancestors.
