In celebration of Qatar National Day, JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha is launching a range of exciting activities spread over a course of seven days as part of the #JWLovesQatar Campaign. This marks the 49th Qatar National Day and includes a series of activations – from a National Day Designed Campaign Car that merges culture and community to a memorable Qatar National Anthem performance by Qatar Youth and Junior Choir and more.
Young Qatari artist Mai Almannai designed a car inspired by cultural heritage, traditions, rituals and people of Qatar reflecting modern art with a vintage twist. Mai Almannai’s special featured design campaign car will be touring in the city between 15th – 22nd December with surprises to celebrate the Qatar National Day with the community. JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha invites all residents to spot the JW Loves Qatar car, post the photo and tag @JWDoha with the hashtag #JWLovesQatar to be in with a chance winning incredible luxury prizes, including culinary experiences, wellness sessions and staycations.
Mai Almannai, the founder of Mai Design Studio graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar is inspired by the city she’s from, Doha and includes the Qatari elements in pop art illustration style. “I’m proud to be part of this art-inspired activation. I’ve combined this design as a graphic artist and my love for Qatari culture which represents the new Qatari soul in a transformation of modern artwork in a vintage form” said Mai.
The Qatar National Anthem performance by the Qatar Youth and Junior Choir will take place at the Hotel. The recording will be released on the Qatar National Day as part of the celebrations.
The hotel also offers the best place to watch the air show and fireworks on 18th December with breathtaking views of the city from the rooftop helipad on 48th floor, offering an unforgettable Qatar National Day experience.
“It’s the 49th Qatar National Day and we are excited to celebrate the heritage of this remarkable country that we call home. In collaboration with Mai Almannai we are pleased to present JW Loves Qatar Art Car Campaign, celebrating culture, art and the heritage of Qatar. At JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, we aim to creatively activate unique art projects, making art more accessible to our guests and the local community,” said Esra Parin, General Manager of JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha. Esra added, “we are delighted to be part of the art car project and host the Qatar Youth and Junior Choir for this special occasion.” Additionally, she thanked all Qatar National Day celebrations’ partners and sponsors including Castle Limousine service in Doha.
The seven day long celebrations are one of the highlights of this year’s Qatar National Day.
