Qatar Airways Holidays has announced the extension of its popular ‘Travel Bubble Holidays’ packages, between Qatar and the Maldives, providing travellers with even more flexibility and choice to plan a getaway to the tropical island paradise and start the new year in style. Due to popular demand the travel period is extended until 5 February 2021 with last outbound date from Qatar scheduled on 31 January 2021 with a minimum 5 night duration.‘Travel Bubble Holidays’ packages are available to book on the Qatar Airways Holidays website or from a local travel agent until 15 January 2021, for travel up to 31 January 2021.In November Qatar Airways Holidays announced the creation of Qatar’s first ‘Travel Bubble Holidays’ package. The packages allow Qatar citizens and residents to holiday safely and with peace of mind at the Maldives - one of the world’s most exotic and tranquil leisure destinations - with no quarantine or self-isolation required on return for citizens of Qatar and no Exceptional Entry Permit, quarantine or self-isolation required on return for residents of Qatar.Customers will still have the opportunity to travel to the Maldives without concerns. The Maldives is no longer part of the COVID-19 Green List Countries published by the Ministry of Public Health, but ‘Travel Bubble Holidays’ remain unaffected due to the additional measures put in place.All packages are inclusive of return flights between Qatar and the Maldives on Qatar Airways, accommodation on a full board basis, return airport transfers, and all taxes. Customers will have access to all hotel facilities, be able to upgrade their meal package, enjoy heavily discounted rates off the retail outlets and enjoy flexible cancellation policies.Three luxury high-end properties including the Sandies Bathala Maldives 4 star resort, Diamonds Thudufushi Beach 5 star resort and Amaya Kuda Rah 5 star resort - each situated on their own private island - will be exclusively available for guests travelling from Qatar.All customers will need to fulfil the following requirements*Take PCR test in Doha and get a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate issued no more than 72 hours before departure. This is a requirement of the Maldives government.*Sign a release form committing to the terms and conditions of the exclusive Travel Bubble Holidays.*Take a rapid PCR test at HIA. Results will be available within 15 minutes, and passengers will be allowed to travel if negative.*Arrive in the Maldives where no additional tests are needed, and take a transfer by speedboat directly to the resort.*Return to Maldives airport via speedboat transfer on the day of departure.*Take a PCR test upon arrival into Doha.
