Teachers of Olive International School (OIS) Doha picked up professional tips at a training event, titled ‘Attitude of Professional Teachers’, organised by the school management recently. In all, 160 teachers benefited from the training session conducted by Doha-based human-resource expert Faizal Hussain.
Speaking on the success of the event, OIS Principal Jacob Mathew said, “We held this training event as part of continuous professional development of our teachers. Olive International School strives to improve teaching standards by conducting such training-the-trainers events.”
Hussain explained to the teachers the importance of confidence and ‘can do’ attitude. Every professional can evolve and move to the next level by watching and learning from successful people, he told the attendees.
He backed his motivational speech with an audio-video presentation and told success stories of professionals who bounced back after a series of failures and career struggles.
OIS fraternity agreed that such training sessions boost professional skills of teachers. “Interactive sessions and discussions with experts help teachers learn new approaches and attitudes. We strive to incorporate such traits and attitudes to assimilate latest teaching trends,” the teachers said.
