Elegancia Hospitality and Facility Management Services of Mall of Qatar (MoQ) and Marafeq Qatar company have signed a a waste management partnership agreement.
Elegancia General Manager Jason Donnachie and Marafeq Operation and Maintenance Director Abobaker al Hadrami represented their organisations during the signing of the agreement. The event was also attended by Elegancia GCEO Dr Fahd Bakour and Marafeq CEO Ahmed al Ammari.
Marafeq Qatar's technical and financial plans and services history were reviewed before selecting it for the tie-up, an official statement said on Tuesday.
"Being one of the major waste management companies in Qatar, we make sure that we provide a comprehensive and integrated plan, with best management and development schemes. Additionally, we emphasise on the importance of recycling into re-useable and environmental-friendly materials," Ahmed al Ammari said.
"Marafeq Qatar has set an integrated and comprehensive plan to manage the waste management project of the Mall of Qatar, as the company will provide mobile pressure containers for the conservation of different kinds of wet and solid waste for proper disposal, in addition to providing awareness campaigns, in cooperation with local companies specialised in the field of environmental awareness, to the mall tenants' to emphasize the importance of recycling waste and preserving the environment," he added.
Fahd Bakour, Group Chief Executive Officer of Elegancia, said,"We are delighted to sign this agreement with Marafeq Qatar, which provided an outstanding proposal for Mall Of Qatar waste management services, and we look forward to working together to maintain a clean environment using the finest and the latest methods in Qatar. We will work together hand in hand to manage the project in a smooth and professional manner."
Marafeq Qatar was established in March 2009, a subsidiary of Qatari Diar Real Estate Development Company, which specialises in providing integrated services for facilities and infrastructure developments, residential projects, and commercial and industrial projects.
