The Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Wednesday held official talks with Lebanon President General Michel Aoun at the Emiri Diwan on Wednesday.
The Emir and Aoun discussed a number of regional and international issues, including the developments in the Middle East. They also reviewed relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields.
The two sides agreed to activate the high-level joint committee between the two countries, and to promote economic and investment cooperation for the benefit of both the sides.
The talks were attended by the Deputy Emir HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani and a number of ministers.
The Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Lebanese President and the delegation accompanying him. Earlier, the Lebanese president was accorded an official reception upon arrival at the Emiri Diwan.
