The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) said the country received rainfall in northern part on Sunday. In some places, the rain was accompanied by thunder.
QMD had on Saturday evening said cloud cover across Qatar would gradually increase as the night progresses, leading to chances of rain in some areas. Offshore, the rain might be accompanied by thunder, it added.In a subsequent tweet, the QMD said the weather was going to be relatively cold at night and the wind Southeasterly light to moderate in speed with the possibility of fog late in the night and early morning hours.
