Tribune News NetworkDohaA food street offering a plethora of quality refreshments that can be ordered from vehicles parked on its ample yard, was inaugurated in the northern part of Katara on Thursday afternoon.Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, the General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) opened the street, named “Tasty Street”.

 

It is located along the courtyard opposite the Al-Jazeera Media Café and sprawls over an area of 6,300 metres, providing sufficient space for hundreds of cars to park and order in the food. This feature enables patrons to observe social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.Orders will be delivered to cars, following the highest safety standards to ensure the safety of everyone, Katara said in a statement on Thursday.Dr Sulaiti d, “We were keen to revitalise the tourism and entertainment sector in line with the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.” The Tasty Street features more than 37 restaurants and cafes.
