The proposal to exempt those people who have taken the two doses of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine from quarantine is under study, a senior Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) official has said.
“Exempting those who had received the vaccine from quarantine is under study,” Dr Soha Al Bayat, Head of the Immunization Department at MoPH, said during a live Instagram question and answer session on Wednesday.
She said at least 75 percent of the population needs to be vaccinated against the virus for returning to a normal life.
Dr Al Bayat said it is preferable to postpone getting the vaccine for anyone who suspects that he/she has the virus or has had contact with an infected person.
She said the mask must be worn all the time while travelling in a car with more than one person.
