Pakistan International School Doha recently arranged an educational trip for the students of Junior Wing to Dandy ice-cream factory.
Dandy Company limited, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company, is one of the reputed brands in Qatar, with a growing presence across the GCC region. The students visited the factory accompanied by their teachers Tauseef Fatima and Noshaba. The students were very excited to see the process of making ice-cream.
Dandy Company Executive Marketing Wajid Sofi gave the students a warm greeting on their arrival. He distributed caps and instructed the students to wear them before going inside the factory. The students were amazed to see so many different machines and pipes for making laban, yoghurt and ice cream.
Sofi showed the students how ice-cream is made. After visiting different areas of the factory, including the freezing room, he led the students to a conference room where they enjoyed ice cream and asked questions about the different methods of ice-cream making and other items.
Eight students participated in an interesting ice-cream-making competition. They made ice-cream using coloured syrup, nuts and different flavours. They were given three minutes to complete the task. Hadia Ghaffar and Safi Naz, won the competition and were awarded with certificates and trophies. The rest of the participants were given certificate of participation.
