Qatar has condemned in the strongest terms the brutal Israeli aggression against Jenin camp, which led to several deaths and injuries, and said it’s
an extension of the heinous and horrific crimes being committed by the occupation against the defenseless Palestinian people. In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Israeli occupation has become more confident than ever before of impunity and unaccountability, which encouraged it to commit more crimes and violations against the brotherly Palestinian people, to kill civilians including children, women and the elderly, and to attack hospitals and vital civilian facilities.
In this context, the ministry said the occupation authorities alone are responsible for the increasing violence that will result from this systematic escalation against the Palestinian people.
The ministry stressed that adherence to international laws and humanitarian issues cannot be applied in a particular place in the world, and ignored or bypassed in another, stating this as an unacceptable duplicity. The sanctity of peoples’ blood and their rights are equal, no matter how different the places may be.
It is no longer possible to understand the continuation of the occupation due to the selective policies in implementing the resolutions of international legitimacy ,preferring power politics and imposing a fait accompli over the principles of justice and fairness, it stressed. (QNA)
