THE Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani met the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan on Thursday and discussed with him a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, particularly the latest regional developments.
HH the Emir and the crown prince of Abu Dhabi also reviewed the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and means of boosting and developing them on all fronts for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples. They also exchanged points of views on all that can enhance the march of joint Gulf work.
Members of the delegation accompanying HH the Emir attended the meeting. On the Emirati side, National Security Advisor Tahnoun bin Zayed al Nahyan attended the meeting along with Ali Mohammad Hammad al Shamsi, deputy secretary-general of the Supreme National Security Council; Khaldoon Khalifa al Mubarak, chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, the undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi crown prince court.
HH the Emir also attended a luncheon banquet hosted by the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan in honour of HH the Emir and the official accompanying delegation.
Later in the afternoon, HH the Emir and the accompanying delegation left Abu Dhabi and were seen off upon departure from Abu Dhabi International Airport by the Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan. A number of their excellencies sheikhs and ministers along with Qatar's Ambassador to the UAE HE Hadi bin Nasser Mansour al Hajri were present to see off HH the Emir.
HH the Emir had arrived earlier on Thursday in Abu Dhabi for a brief fraternal visit to the United Arab Emirates.
