Qatari driver Nasser Al Attiyah strengthened his lead in the temporary general ranking of the Hail Toyota International Rally, the first round of the 2023 FIA World and Middle East Cups for Cross-Country Bajas, the FIM Bajas World Cup and the Saudi Toyota National Rally Championship.

Al Attiyah and co-driver Mathieu Baumel on board a "Toyota Hilux Overdrive" completed today's 230-kilometer stage through the deserts that extend to the west of Hail in a time of 2:24:48 hours. He was 9:50 minutes ahead of his closest competitor.

Al Attiyah consolidated his lead in the temporary general ranking of the Hail International Rally, with a total time of 2:27:45 hours, and a difference of 12:05 minutes from his closest competitor.

Hail Toyota International Rally competitions will continue on Saturday through the second stage which is 184 kilometers long through the Nafud desert.

64 cars, 31 motorcycles and 8 quads participate in this version of the Hail International Rally 2023 which will last for three days.
