The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced that the registration process for the Hajj season 1444 AH will start from next Sunday, corresponding to February 12, at 8am. The registration will continue for a full month.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Director of the Ministry’s Hajj and Umrah Department Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri reviewed the conditions and requirements for this year’s Hajj season, including basic conditions identified and approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, such as taking a maximum of two doses of COVID-19 vaccinations. This is among 10 vaccinations in this regard, including Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson.

Al Misifri noted, in a related context, that the age limit will be open this time, and it will not be determined as it was in the last season, which means that the elderly can register in the system prepared for that, explaining that one of the registration conditions for Qataris and Gulf nationals is that the age is not less than 18, in addition to taking the COVID-19 vaccinations, and for Gulf citizens to have a Qatari personal number, while for residents it is required that the age is not less than 40 years, and that the period of residence in the country is not less than 10 years, in addition to vaccinations mentioned mandatory.

The Director of the Hajj and Umrah Department stated that some improvements and amendments were introduced to the registration system this season at an initial stage to be developed in the future.

He gave a detailed explanation of the method of accessing and registering, whether in the pages and fields designated for Qatari or Gulf citizens or residents, as well as the requirements that must be met.

It must be entered into the system to complete the registration process, and how to follow-up after registration and sorting to find out the status of the application in terms of acceptance or rejection, and

so on.

And he stressed the need to add companions, if any, before saving the application and exiting the registration page in order to avoid any problems that may occur after that, indicating that the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs now has 18 officially accredited Hajj offices, and that this number is subject to increase or decrease, explaining that before the announcement The results of sorting and giving approvals to the pilgrims, the final list of offices will be published on the ministry’s website, and those who have obtained approval can enter the Ministry’s website and the Hajj Department to find out the approved final offices to choose what they want from them.
