Tribune News NetworkDohaQatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani affirmed the country's seeks to invest in projects in Iraq that provide job opportunities and jobs.In a joint press conference held with Iraqi foreign minister Fuad Muhammad Hussein in Baghdad, Sheikh Mohammed said the meetings he had with Iraq President Barham Salih and Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kazemi were fruitful. He said he conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Qatari people, to the leadership and the brotherly Iraqi people.Sheikh Mohammed said during his visit to Baghdad on Wednesday, he discussed how to develop and strengthen economic relations between the two countries, announcing that it was agreed to reactivate economic cooperation between Qatar and Iraq.Sheikh Mohammed expressed his aspiration to expand the horizons of investment and economic cooperation with the sisterly Republic of Iraq, indicating that there is an opportunity to support the stability of Iraq by providing projects and creating job opportunities and for these projects to be of benefit to the two peoples and the two countries.He stressed the existence of consensus in viewpoints regarding the regional situation, stressing that Iraq is an important factor in supporting the stability of the region due to its important pioneering role.For his part, Fuad Muhammad Hussein said, "Iraq is your second country and we will work to activate the agreements between the two countries. We are working to activate the Iraqi-Qatari joint committee on economic issues."
