HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held on Monday an official negotiation session with President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, at Quirinal Palace in Rome.
During the session, they discussed the strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of supporting and developing them in various fields.
Views on several regional and international issues of mutual interest were also exchanged, especially the latest developments in the region.
The session was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, and several of ministers and senior officials.
On the Italian side, the session was attended by Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto, Diplomatic Advisor to Prime Minister of Italy Francesco Maria Talo, and several ministers and senior officials.
After the session, the Italian president hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Amir and the accompanying delegation.
