Well-known Pakistani engineer Mohammad Tahir Jamil volunteered for Education Above All along with his wife and son during the FIFA World Cup 2022.“My wife Nazish Tahir, son Omar Tahir and I volunteered for the FIFA World Cup 2022 along with more than 60 students and professionals. We are fortunate to have been given opportunity for volunteering for Education Above All, sustainable development goals (EEA-SDGs) during the mega event. It was a great experience interacting with football fans and visitors from all over the world,” remarked Tahir.
“The venture proved that age is not a barrier to becoming a volunteer. We are proud to be a part of the prestigious organisation serving under Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. She was present at the opening ceremony of SDG Pavilion at FIFA Fan Festival, Al Bidda Park, on November 21 and also on December 17 at The ‘Walk to Zero’ and closing ceremony,” he added.
Educational Above All organised SDG Moments Volunteer Appreciation Event on January 19 and presented certificates and gifts to volunteers.
“We would like to thank Volunteer Program Manager George Tavola and EEA for giving us an opportunity to participate in their prestigious EAA SDG Pavilion at FIFA fan Festival and many outdoor activities,” added Jamil.
