Pak Shamaa School (PSS) organised a long sports week for its students.

The event was organised as part of the school’s constant efforts for all-round development of its students in spite of their tough and hectic schedules.

"Sport has long been viewed as a way to stay healthy and in shape, but their importance goes much further. As a matter of fact, sport teaches life lessons like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, accountability, and teamwork,” the school said in a statement.

Sport increases blood flow to the brain and helps the body build more connections between nerves, leading to increased concentration, enhanced memory, stimulated creativity, and better-developed problem-solving skills. In short, playing sports helps your brain grow and makes it work better, the statement pointed out.

These days due to their educational routine, students are unable to play any outdoor games, the statement pointed out.

Keeping in view students’ mental condition and health Pak Shamaa School arranged a long sport week under the supervision of Etab Mohammad, Aneela, Nadia Imran, Nadia Shahzad, Esra, Noreen Javed and Farhat for its students. The events included running, skipping games, cone games and physical exercises.

Principal Nabila Kaukab encouraged the students to take active part in outdoor physical activities to stay physically and mentally healthy.
