The Kindergarten Section of Birla Public School (BPS) celebrated its 19th Annual Sports Day on February 11.
The day’s events were declared open by T Angeline Premalatha, counsellor (political and commerce), Embassy of India, Doha, who was the chief guest on the occasion.
Chindhu Antony, management representative; Harish Sanduja, academic director and principal; Rajesh Pillai, Edna Fernandez and Radhika Rele, vice principals, graced the event. Josephine Fernandes, headmistress, Kindergarten Section, welcomed the guests.
The events opened with a march past followed by a prayer and welcome song. KG-I students were dressed in a variety of colourful costumes. A variety races like space run, penguin walk, jellyfish walk, balancing were held for them. KG-II students took part in the flat race with great energy and enthusiasm. The energetic and spirited performances of the little ones thrilled everyone.
Special games were organised for parents in which they participated enthusiastically. The closing ceremony included a show depicting the different seasons. With the weather favourable, the event saw enthusiastic participation by children and their parents.
