His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with Senator from Kansas State in the friendly United States of America Dr Roger Marshall, on the occasion of his visit to the country, at his Amiri Diwan office on Monday.
During the meeting, they reviewed the strategic relations of friendship and cooperation between Qatar and the US, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international developments.
Dr Roger Marshall, handed to HH the Amir the US Senate’s decision, which included the Senate thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar for its efforts and decisive role in helping the United States to evacuate thousands of people , its citizens,permanent legal residents and Afghans at risk and their families, as well as Qatar’s pivotal role in harboring thousands of people who were evacuated.
For his part, HH the Amir thanked the Senate for this decision, reaffirming Qatar’s permanent position on supporting international humanitarian work and making all efforts to bring peace in the region and the world.
