Not everyone is able to make best use of their green space to make their garden bloom. However, you can use fish pots, glass lamps, balls and bowls to create your own hanging garden, or reuse old furniture as garden desks, suggests an expert.
Earthly Creations founder and principal designer Harpreet Ahluwalia shares simple hacks to bloom a container garden.
Hanging garden
Use fish pots, glass lamps, balls and bowls to create your own hanging garden. This does not require much effort and can be put up anywhere you want. You just need to plant your favourite plants and hang them in your balcony, arches, patios and entrances. You can also hang seashells with your hanging plants to give it added definition.
Old furniture turned garden desk
You can give old furniture new purpose by placing plants in a chest of drawers. The plant-laden furniture can be placed indoors or outdoors. Wherever you choose to put it, it will surely liven up the space.
Vertical garden
The simple technique to get this look is to place planters in small pots, cans or glass jars and affix them on a wall. This will instantly brighten any wall.
Thematic garden
Go for a single theme by planting same species of plants in a row or any garden space. You can also trim your plants in themed shapes like animals, fruits, geometric shapes and even letters. Doing so will definitely make your indoor or outdoor space more interesting.
