ExxonMobil has contributed QR1,400,000 to INJAZ Qatar at the closing ceremony of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2023 on Saturday.

The amount will support the organization with its mission of providing educational opportunities for students and young professionals in Qatar. It will also support INJAZ Qatar’s collaborative efforts with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

ExxonMobil Qatar is a founding board member of INJAZ Qatar, and has partnered with the organization since 2007 to empower local youth and provide them with the skills and mindset they need to become the entrepreneurs and business leaders of the future.

Dominic Genetti, President and General Manager of ExxonMobil Qatar, presented the donation to Emad Al Khaja, Chief Executive Officer of INJAZ Qatar, in the presence of HE Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi, President of Qatar Tennis Federation, and Neil Chapman, Senior Vice-President of Exxon Mobil Corporation.

"Improving educational programs worldwide to enhance the development of young people, especially in the areas of math and science, is a priority for ExxonMobil. As a leader in an industry that relies on math, science and engineering, we are aware of the key role education plays in providing employment and fueling economic growth,” said Genetti.

"We see the value INJAZ Qatar provides for young people through experiential education, training in work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship, and this is why we have been working with them since 2007. We’re pleased that our contribution will go toward helping further the organization’s efforts to advance future generations in Qatar, and ensure that young people have access to quality education and skills that will make them feel equipped for life and the workplace,” he added.

"The timing of this initiative is particularly felicitous for INJAZ Qatar as it celebrates its 15-year anniversary. This generous contribution from ExxonMobil will ensure that many children in Qatar, from a very young age, are exposed to the skills and knowledge that give them the clarity to make sound future career choices and equip them with the entrepreneurial and soft skills needed for the workplace. We are very grateful for this long-established partnership with ExxonMobil and aspire to continue to work together to benefit the youth of Qatar,” said Emad Al Khaja, INJAZ Qatar CEO.

ExxonMobil will continue to advance initiatives through its education partnerships in support of a sustainable future for Qatar and its people.
