Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Saturday met with Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres on the occasion of the Fifth UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), which convenes in Doha on Sunday.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and the UN and ways to develop them, in addition to the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, Libya and Afghanistan, the latest updates of the Iranian nuclear file talks, and several issues of common concern.

The UN secretary-general thanked Qatar for making the necessary arrangements to host the LDC5 conference.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with Prime Minister of Mali Choguel Kokalla, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation Burundi Albert Shingiro and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan Ali Al-Sadiq Ali.

During the meetings, they discussed the bilateral relations between Qatar and each of the countries and ways to develop them.
