The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday met separately with a number of senior officials, heads of states and governments, and heads of delegations of countries participating in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), at Qatar National Convention Center.

HH the Amir met with Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between Qatar and the international organisation, and the topics on the conference’s agenda, in addition to discussing the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.

HH the Amir also met with President of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly Csaba Korosi and discussed cooperation between Qatar and the United Nations.

HH the Amir met President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, President of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye, President of Slovenia Natasha Burke-Mussar and President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.

HH the Amir also met Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Ethiopia Dr Abiy Ahmed Ali and Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wazed.

During the meetings, they discussed the relations between Qatar and their countries and prospects for enhancing them, in addition to the topics on the conference agenda.

HH the Amir also held a discussion with Vice-Chairman and President of Microsoft Brad Smith.

The meetings were attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chief of Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and a number of senior officials.
