The participation of Al Sadd and Qatar SC in the "King Salman Club Cup” tournament has been confirmed by the Qatar Football Association (QFA) to the host Arabian Football Federation on Sunday.

The letter was sent after the two teams confirmed their participation as per the competition’s rules.

The event was rebranded as the "King Salman Club Cup” in 2023, with the stated the goal of fostering the growth of football across the Arab world and the region.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Thani, a member of the Executive Office of QFA, and Mansour Al Ansari, Secretary-General of QFA, as well as a representative of QFA and a representative of the two teams, will be present at the draw ceremony on Monday evening in Riyadh.

In all, 37 teams from Asia and Africa will compete in the event, which will feature preliminary qualifying rounds and finals hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the citiesof Abha, Al Baha, and Taif.

Teams from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Djibouti, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania and Yemen will participate in the tournament.
