THE Cultural Village Foundation's Esplanade theatre has witnessed the end of Katara's 'Cultural Diversity Festival' activities, with a breathtaking Argentinian folkloric performance that featured Argentina and Latin American traditions through powerful musical performances.
'The Cultural Diversity Festival' started in January with the participation of 20 multi-national and remarkable cultural shows representing numerous countries. The festival was organised by Katara in cooperation with the Unesco office in Doha and Qatar's National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
General Manager of Cultural Village Foundation Katara Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al Sulaiti said:"By organising and hosting such an array of performances at the 'Cultural Diversity Festival', the Cultural Village is seeking to further bridge gaps between cultures and create an environment for all to connect in a creative way."
Katara's chief added:"We continue to partner with the Unesco office in Doha and Qatar's National Commission for Education, Culture and Science to emphasise the importance of cultural diversity as an approach towards peace and sustainable development."
The Argentinian company 'Sentires', is a professional cultural art company that promotes Argentinian culture through outstanding performances, with more than 20 performing platforms found in all provinces of Argentina, making it one of the largest and most important art and cultural powerhouses in Argentina and beyond.
The company recorded successful and artistic shows such as 'Feel What Our', 'Feeling Tango' and 'Feel Malambo', which were presented in numerous festivals and theatres in the country.
The Argentinian 'Sentires' also represented the Argentinian culture at international festivals in countries like Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Holland, Brazil, Bulgaria, Ecuador, Poland, Germany and South Korea, bagging prestigious international awards.
