Internationally acclaimed Indian poet Maqsood Anwar Maqsood, who has been living in Qatar for the past 26 years, will attend the Grand Mushaira (symposium) to be hosted by Tata Steel Foundation in Jamshedpur, India, on March 13.

Born in 1970 in Jamshedpur, Maqsood is a disciple of famous late poet Shaiq Muzaffarpuri and works at Qatar Steel Company.

He is the founder of Jamshedpur’s renowned literary organisation, Adab Saraay, which has been working for the people affected by COVID-19.

Maqsood is the writer of popular poetry collection ‘Aasmaan Tu Hi Bta’, which was launched at a prestigious event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, recently.

Literary stalwarts Munawwar Rana and Prof Shahpar Rasul wrote comments about Maqsood’s poetry on the back cover of the book, published by Azha Publications, Kolkata.
