She indicated that the new centre covers the surrounding areas with its services. It has a capacity of 35,000 patients, and it is expected that this number will be fully registered in the first year through electronic registration or a direct visit to the centre.
She added that the PHCC, while focusing on establishing new centres, is also working on maintaining, expanding and developing some of the existing centres that are witnessing a high turnout of patients, especially those that serve densely populated areas, in the context of continuing care to preserve the health of the population of Qatar by providing the best health services and developing them through the quality, diversity and integration of the treatment services provided, as well as preventive services as the main entrance to achieve the vision and mission of the corporation.
The capacity of the Al Sadd Health Centre can be increased to 50,000 registered in the centre’s lists to serve the residents of Al Sadd and neighbouring areas, which are the areas of Al Mirqab Al Jadeed, Fereej Bin Mahmoud, Al Messila, Fereej Bin Omran, Al Hitmi Al Jadeed, and Hamad Medical City.
The new centre includes many services such as family medicine clinics, pregnancy and postpartum follow-up, healthy child services, periodic immunizations, healthy women, non-communicable diseases, communicable diseases, travel immunisations, annual health examination, adolescent health, premarital examination, dental, ear, nose and throat, dermatology, ophthalmology, optometry, maternal and child health consultations, nutritionist, social worker, health education, physiotherapy, minor surgery, urgent care services for the elderly and children, and mental health services.
