Doha

Social Development Centre (NAMA), an affiliate of the Ministry of Social Development and Family’s Qatar Foundation for Social Work, held a panel discussion on youth and social work in the State of Qatar in cooperation with the Excellence Centre for Training and Consulting of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.

A group of high-level local and international officials and representatives of the NAMA Centre and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies as well as representatives of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) participated in the panel discussion at the headquarters of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.

The participants presented the mechanism and results of a study on ‘Youth and Social Work in the State of Qatar’, which was previously prepared by NAMA Centre in cooperation with ESCWA, in addition to the study’s outputs and its contribution to the development of youth.

Acting Executive Director of NAMA Centre Noof Ibrahim Al Abdullah said that they seek to cooperate with various parties internally and externally in order to expand options and opportunities for the promising youth.

Executive Director of the Excellence Centre for Training and Consulting Dr. Ahmed Al Mawry appreciated the cooperation with NAMA Centre in organising this event, which comes as part of the centre’s efforts to strengthen the partnership between the two parties by providing quality consulting services in which a group of local and international experts participate, and by contributing to improving the study’s outputs and implementation mechanisms. He stressed the centre’s readiness to provide all support in the field of consultations and implementation of studies and to provide training services aimed at strengthening the efforts of the Centre. to empower and develop youth.
