FOR the second consecutive year, Place Vendome Qatar, the Parisian inspired QR5 billion mixed-use development, served as a lead partner of the Conde Nast International Luxury Conference.
The event, which took place on April 20 and 21 in Seoul, attracted business and creative leaders from across the globe to discuss the future of luxury and its potential in the region.
"We're delighted to have partnered with Conde Nast International to present the CNI Luxury Conference again this year," said Sean Kelly, Project Director of Place Vendome."Conde Nast has proven once again that it has a unique understanding of and access to the luxury market. This year's conference gathered some of the brightest minds in fashion and business. It also gave us an unparalleled opportunity to introduce Place Vendome to a host of premier brands and to highlight the potential of the Qatari market."
The Conde Nast International Luxury Conference was curated by International Vogue Editor Suzy Menkes and featured talks by luminaries from the worlds of fashion, art, technology, business and social media. Speakers at the event included executives from Giorgio Armani, Balmain, Chanel, Coach, Diesel, Instagram, McKinsey & Co., Samsung C&T, Swarovski and Versace, as well as leading designers and representatives from South Korea's art and fashion scene.
As part of its role as a partner, Place Vendome co-hosted a future-luxury-themed cocktail evening on the first day of the conference. The event took place at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a neo-futuristic development designed by Zaha Hadid and Korean studio Samoo which serves as the centrepiece of South Korea's fashion hub.
The conference marks another successful collaboration between Conde Nast and Qatari real estate development company, United Developers.
Place Vendome currently underway in Lusail City is a project of United Developers.
