Fostering unity and camaraderie among its members, the Overseas Filipino Investors and Entrepreneurs Movement’s (OFIEM) recently conducted a bowling sports event at the Doha Oasis.
OFIEM is a community of Filipinos from various fields of work and provincial origins in the Philippines who have formed and organized a movement with the main advocacy of promoting financial literacy among Oveseas Filipino Workers in Qatar (OFWs) in Qatar.
Among the notable OFIEM Officers for this event include Ferlita Young - President, Layla Bernal - Board Director & Sports Committee Chair, Jess Gallo - Assistant Secretary & Sports Committee Vice-Chair, and Edgar Boyano - Board Director & Media & Communications Committee Chair.
OFIEM congratulates all the winners and everyone who participated in the event, which the group describes as a fun and exciting day filled with friendly competition and great camaraderie among its members.
“As much as OFIE-M-Qatar is all about financial growth, investing and entrepreneurship, it’s equally important to prioritize life balance and building relationships with like-minded individuals. Event like this allow its members to bond and connect on a personal level,” the organisation said in a statement posted on its social media page.
According to OFIEM Founder Paul Gamboa, the group’s vision is for OFWs to be real heroes through harnessing and leveraging on their financial resourcesand power to lift up not only their financial stature but equally important, to greatly help uplift the Philippine economy.
