Al Sadd attacker Hamza Sanhaji has stressed that only three points will satisfy his side as they head into a crunch Qatar Clasico against local rivals Al Rayyan.
The Qatar youth international said,"The game is so important for us, we still have three games. We have a chance to beat Al Rayyan and hope that Lekhwiya can drop points against El Jaish. Right now, we have to be focused on getting maximum points from the match."
"The Clasico is a tough match. We are second in the league right now but that does not mean we are better than Al Rayyan. We won the first-leg 5-0 and did well but right now it doesn't matter if we win by many goals, the only important thing is the three points for Al Sadd," Sanhaji added.
The Wolves, who did not play any friendly in the three-week break in QSL action, will welcome back a host of Qatar internationals to the squad ahead of the game.
Despite this, Sanhaji believes his squad has the quality to earn Qatar Clasico bragging rights.
"Al Rayyan has played two extra games in the AFC Champions League so they will be fitter than us in the league while Al Sadd has many players in the national team and just three days to recover in time for the Clasico. Al Sadd is used to this situation and I believe we will get the win we need on Sunday evening."
"El Jaish are a strong side and will be looking to end the season on a high I really hope that they can do us a favour," added the twenty two year old attacker, who enjoyed a six month stint with Jaish at the start of the season.
Sanhaji also stressed that everyone at the club is focusing on picking up the QSL Falcon Shield come the end of the season.
"It's important for the whole team that we win this title as we are so close. Al Sadd have not won the title in four seasons and we hope that we can get the right results in these final games."
The winger wishes that the club's captain, Xavi, will pick up his first piece of silverware in Qatar this season.
"Everyone at Al Sadd also wants Xavi to win the title with us. Xavi doesn't need to win titles again to confirm his legend but it would be a good thing for him to lift another trophy with us and be part of Al Sadd's history," Sanhaji said.
