Qatar participated in the 122nd session of the Permanent Council of the Francophonie held online under the chairmanship of Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo.
Ambassador of Qatar to France and Qatar’s representative to OIF HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani represented Qatar in the meeting.
In her opening speech, the OIF secretary-general noted her participation in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), which was held in Doha from March 5 to 9.
She thanked Qatar for its support in financing ‘La Francophonie avec Elles’, which aims to support women in vulnerable situations in the Francophone space. During the meeting, the decisions adopted during the 18th Summit of La Francophonie were followed up.
