Pakistan Engineers Forum-Qatar (PEF-Q) celebrated Pakistan Day with great enthusiasm and fervour by hosting an event at Pistachio Restaurant.
The programme, which was attended by a large number of Pakistani professionals and engineers, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthems of Qatar and Pakistan. Rana Anwar Ali welcomed the guests and urged them to show their love and patriotism for their country.
In his address, Defence Attaché at the Pakistan embassy Commodore Sharjeel Iftikhar, the chief guest., stressed the crucial role played by engineers and professionals in the development of their country. He appreciated the contributions of Pakistani engineers in Qatar and encouraged them to continue working towards the betterment of their motherland.
PEF-Q Chairman Badar Sohail Khan noted the vital role the Pakistani community in Qatar can play in strengthening the economy of Pakistan. He also highlighted the importance of unity and collaboration among the Pakistani community in Qatar to achieve their common goals.
PEF-Q President Riyaz Ahmed Bakali spoke about the significance of research and development in various fields. He urged Pakistani professionals and engineers to take ownership of their actions and work diligently to contribute to the progress of their country. “The aim of the event is to strengthen the bond among the Pakistani community in Qatar and promote a sense of patriotism towards their motherland,” he said.
A graceful cake-cutting ceremony, hosted by Ashraf Siddiqui and Qaiser Anwar Khan, was also held to mark the event.
Jamshaid Shahzad Bajwa regaled the audience by presenting a patriotic song.
Chaudhary Mohammad Ajmal presented the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their participation in the event and their unwavering love for Pakistan.
