The Khalifa bin Sheail Al Kuwari-owned Tajamhor (QA) claimed the Al Dibal Cup with the 4YO colt emerging winner in the feature race of Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club’s (QREC) 45th Race Meeting at the Al Rayyan Racecourse on Wednesday.

Tajamhor was back to winning ways prevailing in the 1900m Handicap (70-90) for 4YO+ Local Purebred Arabians by a length and a half to complete a double on the day for trainer Zuhair Mohsen and jockey Soufiane Saadi.

Tajamhor had won the Baidaa Algaa Cup on February 22 and the Premium Maiden Cup on February 16.

Abdulaziz Jassim Al Boenain, Al Uqda Complex Manager, presented the trophies to the winners.

Wathnan Racing’s Neat And Dandy looked a well-handicapped horse as he won his third race in a row for trainer Alban de Mieulle, this time taking the 1700m Handicap (70-90) for three-year-old+ Thoroughbred by a length under jockey Soufiane Saadi.

The Ali bin Khalid Al Mosallam-owned Leafy Moss took the 1200m Handicap (60-80) for three year-old + Thoroughbreds very comfortably for trainer Ahmed Al Jehani, drawing three lengths clear of his rivals under a good ride from jockey Abdulla Rashid Al Hajri, who notched a double on the day.

The 1700m Handicap (0-70) for four-year-old+ Local Thoroughbreds saw a wide winning margin as the Injaaz Stud-owned Tafawok got off the mark with resounding success as the four-year-old colt won by seven lengths at the line. It was an impressive success for jockey Szczepan Mazur and trainer Zuhair Mohsen.

There was also a brilliant finish in the 1700m Handicap (0-75) four-year-old+ for Purebred Arabians, as the Hassan bin Ali Hassan Al Matwi-owned and trained Nomas Al Shajaa, got the better of Seraia De Pine by a short head under a superb ride from Abdulla Rashid Al Hajri.

In the 1200m Novice for three-year-old+ Thoroughbreds, the Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik-owned My Glory was rewarded for his consistent efforts and last five placed finishes with a two-length victory for trainer Debbie Mountain and jockey Jefferson Smith.

In the opening race of the day, trainer Hadi Al Ramzani kicked off the meeting with a winner in the 1200m Maiden for four-six-year-old Purebred Arabians as he saddled the Mohanad Jassim Al Yaqout-owned MJ Mutahabi to take the race by half a length under jockey Abdulaziz Fahad Al Balushi.
