The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Tyco Fire and Security, Qatar’s Simplex and Autocall dealership, has announced the recall of Simplex/Autocall Hazards Audio or Visual Warning Devices: TrueAlert ES, Xenon, LED with the following numbers: (49AV-WRF, 49AV-WRFO, 49VO-APPLWE, 49AV-APPLW, 49AV-APPLW-O, 49AV-WWF) 49AV-WWFO-BA, 59AV-WWF, 49AO-WRF, 49VO-WRF, 49VO-WRFO, 49VOH-APPLC, 49AVH-APPLC, 49VOH-APPLC-O, 49VO-WWF, 49VO-WWFO-BA), manufacturing Year: 2021, due to a possible defect in some affected Tyco Fire products notification devices that may not alert visually and/or with an alarm after a period of regular operation of 11 months or more. The Ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on the software update as soon as possible.
The Ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary updates are carried out.
