The Qatar Detergent Company (QDC) organised its 35th Annual Day function at Sealine Beach Resort recently. Established in 1982, the company celebrates the annual event with a different theme and motto each year. This year's theme was 'Dear QDC employees; You are amazing.'
The entire workforce from the top level managers to the workers were treated to sports and games on the beach. QDC General Manager Hamdy Abo Al Qassem welcomed the gathering.
QDC has recently started a new plant in the Mesaieed Industrial City which has the latest, state-of-the-art automated detergent production plant to cater to the needs of domestic and international markets."The QDC management has been able to achieve this feat because of the hard work and contributions of all the employees. Hence the theme for the Annual Day was geniously penned as 'Dear QDC employees, You are amazing' which points out the contribution and hard work put up by all the QDC employees," said Qassem.
"QDC is one of the success stories I am extremely proud of and I give credit to the entire QDC team which has managed to overcome all the challenges that have come their way. We always want our employees to be happy and motivated and for the same reason we have once again selected Sealine Beach Resort to celebrate our annual day so that our employees can play, have fun and enjoy the day," said QDC Managing Director Sheikh Nawaf bin Mohamed Jabor al Thani.
Also present at the celebrations were The Zad Holdings group CEO Tarique Mohammad, VP HR Sauban Siddiqui and other managers from sister companies.
Cricket, football, volleyball and table tennis tournaments were organised on the day. The winning teams were given prizes. A cultural competition was also held where the employees participated in dancing, mimicry and other entertainment acts. The best performers were awarded.
