The Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) held its first regular General Assembly meeting for the sport season 2023 at the Qatar Olympic Committee’s Losail Conference Hall on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by President of Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Naimi, and was attended by the QCSF Secretary General Rashid Adiba and members of the QCSF General Assembly Meeting who met the AG quorum.
During the meeting, members approved the QCSF board report for the year ended 2022, ratified the QCSF’s balance sheet for fiscal year 2022, reviewed draft estimated budget for the year 2023 and membership fees as per the statute.
On the same track of making sports day in and day out lifestyle and improve students talents and skills, the meeting reviewed how the sport activity plan works out and how they can keep it going in 2022-2023 season. They also set up mechanisms to raise up students participation rate in all tournament organized by QCSF.
The meeting also discussed the proposals received from country’s top education institutions, colleges and military institutes for developing student’s technical performance and improving their skills and talents.
Most notably, the General Assembly unanimously approved the requests of top education institutions to join membership of QCSF General Assembly.
In a post-meeting statement, Adiba said, “We truly feel pride, gratitude and complacency to see such a rising response and positive participation from high institutions in this ongoing inaugural tournaments.”
