Organised by Qatar Tourism and the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar, The Doha Lights Festival 2023, is witnessing a heavy turnout of hundreds of visitors daily.
This enchanting festival is a must see attraction which the visitors, both locals and tourists, flock to. It is a unique experience and is completely free to the public. Whether you’re visiting alone or with a group, the ‘Festive Lighting’ offers a chance to make memories during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
“I had seen a lot of videos online, and I thought I’d come and see for myself. I appreciate the new initiatives and events organised in Qatar. We can all see the continuous progress made by the country. Now every two to three days we hear about a new event or a festival or an exhibition. Moreover, most of them are family friendly, which is a bonus”, said Arjun, an Indian expatriate in Qatar who was at the festival with his two children. “My children are enjoying themselves. The atmosphere is very friendly. We can all sense the Ramadan vibes in this place which is lovely”, he said.
Paula, another visitor spotted at the festival, is a social media influencer from the Philippines. “I’m loving this festival, for me it’s a great content for my social media. Coming here gives me such warm feelings. The calm music, the beautiful lights, the motion within the lights – it is beautiful. I’m truly loving how during Ramadan there’s so much to do and what’s even better is that most of these festivals and events being held in Doha are either free or with a budget friendly entry fee”, she noted.
The ‘Festive Lighting’ is a celebration of light, music, and culture, with breath-taking light displays and awe-inspiring Ramadan music. Beautifully lit installations, colourful lanterns, and a variety of other illuminated displays that liven up the city.
Because of the festival’s suitability for families, it is an excellent way to spend quality time together for families. Children will be captivated by the vibrant colours and magical atmosphere, while adults can soak in the beauty of the event and immerse themselves in local culture.
The festival venue, in the beautiful Corniche area is the perfect location where visitors can enjoy the scenic surroundings while taking in the sights and sounds of the event.
