Pak Shamaa School students celebrated Garangao Day with great enthusiasm and joy. The event was organised by Etab Abuayash, Fatima Nazakat, and Esraa Elshayeb, under the guidance and support of the school’s Principal, Nabila Kaukab.
Garangao Day, a popular children’s festival in the Gulf region, is celebrated on the 14th night of Ramadan. Pak Shamaa School students participated in the festivities by dressing up in traditional clothes, singing songs, and collecting sweets and nuts.
The event was a great success, with the students and teachers alike enjoying the fun-filled celebration. Nabila Kaukab expressed her delight at the students’ enthusiasm for the festival and the organisers’ efforts in making the event a memorable one.
“Garangao Day is an important cultural celebration in our region, and it is wonderful to see our students participating in it with such enthusiasm,” said Kaukab, adding: “I would like to thank the organisers, Etab Abuayash, Fatima Nazakat, and Esraa Elshayeb, for their hard work and dedication in organising this event.”
The celebration was a good opportunity for the students to learn about their cultural heritage and to appreciate the customs and traditions of their community. The event also provided an opportunity for the students to come together and celebrate their shared identity as members of the Pak Shamaa School community.
Taking inspiration from the success of the event, the event organisers and school administration plan to organise more cultural events in the future in order to continue promoting unity, understanding, and appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of the region.
